father's day questions

Since today is Father's Day, can you guess what these questions are going to be about?  You guessed it, DADS!

1.  Are you more of a "Mama's Girl" or a "Daddy's Girl"?

2.  Using the letters from the word FATHER, describe your Dad AND describe your husband as a father.

3.  Name a few memories you have of your father or from time spent with your Dad.

4.  What is one thing you admire the most about your Dad AND about your husband as a Dad?

I realize that maybe some of you ladies may not have had a Dad's presence in your lives growing up so please tailor these questions to meet what fit your childhood or even present day.  Perhaps, it was your Mom who was always there so you can think of her when answering the questions!  My apologies in advance if these questions bring up some bad or bitter thoughts and memories of your Dad.  Enjoy your day, ladies!

And, Happy Father's Day to all of the Dads out there!

thank awana for these questions :)

Okay, so I've been digging into Awana books over the past few days, and I really cannot come up with any questions to ask on my own as I write this (my mind is just turning to mush...ever know the feeling?) so I am going to "borrow" a few questions from these Awana books and then spinning some questions off of them.  They're more thought provoking and/or silly than anything!  Have fun!

1.  How many times a day do you eat?  What would happen if you only ate on Sundays?  (Do you hear the challenge in those 2 questions????)  Also, what is your usual Sunday meal?

2.  What is the center of gravity?  Spinning off of this question, what was your favorite subject in school?

3.  What's an astronaut's favorite sandwich?  What is your favorite sandwich?

4.  How do you get a baby astronaut to sleep?  What is one way you got your babies to sleep?  (For those who may not have had babies yet, either take notes or name a way that you've seen babies get to sleep that you can't wait to try on your own babies.)

Have a great Sunday, ladies!  Enjoy it!

Week 6: {Reflection}

Good morning, ladies!

So, how was your time in the Word and in prayer this week?

Here are a few questions to personally reflect on this weekend:

1.  What is one thing I learned or the Lord challenged me with that I want to remember from this week's study?

2.  What is one practical way that I can put what I have learned into action?

3.  How is my prayer time?

4.  Did God give answers to any of my prayers and I have yet to thank Him for them?

Have a wonderful weekend, ladies!

I Peter 3:3-4

Do not let your adornment be merely outward - arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel - rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.

rainy day questions

Since we are seeing a lot of rain here in the Northeast, I thought we would have some questions about the rain because I know we are not thinking about it at all.  For me, I LOVE the rain and especially a good thunderstorm!  In fact, you probably don't know this and probably could care less knowing this, but when I was growing up, I always said that I wanted to live in Seattle, Washington because I heard it rained there a lot; in fact, I even looked into a college there.  (I guess I picked the wrong corner of the country!  BUT, I'm sure now you can sleep better tonight knowing all of that very pertinent information!)  :)  Ok, now, on to the questions!

1.  Do you have any childhood memories with your family that involved rain?  If so, name one or two.

2.  What are three of your favorite things to do in the rain nowadays?  What were three of your favorite things to do in the rain when you were younger?

3.  Describe yourself using the letters in the word RAIN as an acronym.

4.  What did you do on this wet weekend?  (I don't know about you, but I'm always looking to gain fresh ideas to do on wet, rainy, inside days!)

Enjoy this rainy, inside day, ladies!  One thing is for sure...rain showers provide the perfect weather to relax and take an afternoon nap especially on this day of rest!

See you all here tomorrow!

Week 5: {Reflection}

A couple of questions to reflect on this weekend:

1.   How have this week's verses challenged you as a woman, wife, and/or mother?

2.   What is one thing that the Lord taught you, encouraged you, strengthened within you, or challenged you (or perhaps He has done all of the above!) from these verses this past week?

Enjoy your weekend!  I hear rain is to be coming again!

Psalms 46:1-2

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.  Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;...
