Proverbs 31:1-2

The words of King Lemuel, the utterance which his mother taught him:  What, my son?  And what, son of my womb?  And what, son of my vows?

ANNOUNCING OUR NEXT STUDY!!!

Please take these next three days off to rest, relax, and be refreshed knowing that God loves you and cares for you!  (Of course, you will want to spend time in God's Word and talk to Him, but at least there is nothing you HAVE to do or read...just enjoy being with Him...and not that planned studies prevent you from enjoying being with our Lord...ok, I'll stop!)

On Monday, April 30th, I am excited to start our new study!  Are you????  I can't wait!

Are you wondering what we will be studying?
Wait no longer.....we will be studying  *drum roll, please*

PROVERBS 31!!!!

I will e-mail the reading plan for this study and the ebook information to you so look for all of that in your inbox.

I apologize for the short notice for this study.  I hope the next three days gives you a little bit of time to prepare for this next study.  ALSO, now that we all know what this accountability blog group is all about and what we do...I want to reiterate that this is not an exclusive group...if you have thought of other ladies as you were going through the Ephesians study who would have loved and thrived to have been a part of it, by all means please invite them to join us (even if they don't live around here).

Meet with you all here on Monday!

[AND...by the way, it just so happens that the website that I got this Bible study accountability group idea off of (www.goodmorninggirls.org) is also doing a summer book club of the same Proverbs 31 ebook, but their groups are starting a couple of weeks after we are beginning our study and going longer.  I didn't particularly like their reading plan as it seemed too spread out, SO I took their outline and condensed them.  I was so happy to see that the "good morning girls groups" were doing the same thing we were and loved that the adminstrator included extra verses to go along with Proverbs 31.  (I don't want you to think that I came up with the entire reading/study plan all on my own as I was just going to do a verse a day from Proverbs 31 - I know, real creative, huh?  :o)  BUT, I love how the Lord leads and guides when you seek His leading and guidance, and He was definitely leading and guiding here.)]

******************************
NOW...
Just for fun today, I thought I would ask a few light-hearted questions:

1.  Besides the given of watching/spending time with your husband and kids, what is your favorite thing to do...Inside your house?  In your yard?  In your car?  In town?
2.  Which dessert would you choose:  cookies, cake, ice cream, pie, or cheesecake?

3.  If you could learn one of the following skills, which one would it be?  carpentry, plumbing, electrical, auto repair, or woodworking?

I'm looking forward to meeting you all here on Monday!

Week 12: {Reflection}

It's that time again!  The end of the week!  Time sure does fly by so fast!  Here are the 3 points to reflect on for this week's chunk of Scripture:

1. One important lesson I want to remember from this week's reading would be: __________
2. I feel God wants me to learn: __________
3. I am going to put my faith into action by: ___________

Have a great weekend, ladies, remembering what Jesus our Savior did on the cross and what He did for us even beyond the cross...all for us!  God loves us that much!

Ephesians 6:19-20

...and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

Ephesians 6:18

...praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints-...

Ephesians 6:16-17

...above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;...

Ephesians 6:13-15

Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.  Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;...

Ephesians 6:10-12

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.  Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rules of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

questions of the day

Well, first and foremost, thank you all for coming last night.  (We did miss the few that couldn't come though - a couple due to not living around here!)  It's always fun and great to get together with friends for some yummy food and relaxing conversation.

Since I didn't get any question suggestions last night, it has taken me a while to come up with any questions.  I was trying to go for a Palm Sunday/April Fools' Day theme here, but I struggled.  Regardless...have fun with these questions!
  1. Since Palm Sunday is the day that we remember Jesus riding into Jerusalem on a donkey essentially fulfilling prophecy...based on your personality, which animal would you find yourself most likely desiring to try to ride if the possibility presented itself...donkey, bull, camel, elephant, eagle, or dolphin AND why?
  2. Speaking of Palm Sunday and the events leading up to Easter Sunday and remembering how Jesus gave specific instructions to some of His disciples to get the donkey to ride and how and where to prepare the Last Supper and so forth  (it amazes me how God is in every detail of our lives!)...what is one specific thing or event that God has done in your life that you are just so amazed at how He orchestrated it and how He brought it all together to be accomplished?
  3. Name 3 things that make you laugh just thinking about them or that have made you laugh in the past 24 hours.
  4. What are 3 of your favorite blogs or websites that you have visited or visit most frequently?
Have a restful and replenishing Palm Sunday!

(By the way, be sure to congratulate Sarah W. on her news of expecting TRIPLETS!)

(April Fools!)
