Ephesians 6:21-22
But that you also may know my affairs and how I am doing, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, will make all things known to you; whom I have sent to you for this very purpose, that you may know our affairs and that he may comfort your hearts.

Tychicus - a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord...a man Paul loved, trusted, and respected. In comparison to the "big names" of the Bible (like Paul, Peter, John, etc.), Tychicus was the "behind the scenes" kind of a guy where we don't know much about him. Paul trusted him to deliver these important letters like Ephesians to its readers and to inform those readers how Paul was doing and to share ALL things concerning Paul. I see Tychicus as a man of character who didn't exaggerate and overstate situations and circumstances as Paul said that Tychicus would comfort their hearts. He was an encourager, a minister, a servant, and used by God to further the work of the Gospel. God can use us no matter if we are a Peter, Paul, or Tychicus. No matter how BIG or how little or how mundane the task is at hand, God can use you and that task to teach you and others and possibly further the work of the Gospel through it...He can use you through any circumstance or situation you face.
Lord, thank You for the reminder for me today that You are at work in every area and situation in my life. Lord, I face a day of kids, errands, and household tasks. Lord, help me to keep my focus on You amidst all of the craziness and busyness that this day kind of day brings. Lord, guard my mouth and my actions. And, Lord, may Your character shine through me even as I get my toilets to shine!
Have a great Monday, ladies!
