Please take these next three days off to rest, relax, and be refreshed knowing that God loves you and cares for you! (Of course, you will want to spend time in God's Word and talk to Him, but at least there is nothing you HAVE to do or read...just enjoy being with Him...and not that planned studies prevent you from enjoying being with our Lord...ok, I'll stop!)

I apologize for the short notice for this study. I hope the next three days gives you a little bit of time to prepare for this next study. ALSO, now that we all know what this accountability blog group is all about and what we do...I want to reiterate that this is not an exclusive group...if you have thought of other ladies as you were going through the Ephesians study who would have loved and thrived to have been a part of it, by all means please invite them to join us (even if they don't live around here).

[AND...by the way, it just so happens that the website that I got this Bible study accountability group idea off of (www.goodmorninggirls.org) is also doing a summer book club of the same Proverbs 31 ebook, but their groups are starting a couple of weeks after we are beginning our study and going longer. I didn't particularly like their reading plan as it seemed too spread out, SO I took their outline and condensed them. I was so happy to see that the "good morning girls groups" were doing the same thing we were and loved that the adminstrator included extra verses to go along with Proverbs 31. (I don't want you to think that I came up with the entire reading/study plan all on my own as I was just going to do a verse a day from Proverbs 31 - I know, real creative, huh? :o) BUT, I love how the Lord leads and guides when you seek His leading and guidance, and He was definitely leading and guiding here.)]

1. Besides the given of watching/spending time with your husband and kids, what is your favorite thing to do...Inside your house? In your yard? In your car? In town?
2. Which dessert would you choose: cookies, cake, ice cream, pie, or cheesecake?
3. If you could learn one of the following skills, which one would it be? carpentry, plumbing, electrical, auto repair, or woodworking?

I can't wait to get started again! I admit, I have been lacking in my devotion times. I will open the word and do a quick read and that's it. Why does a scheduled devotion push me to dig deeper and spend more time in the Word?

1) House: cooking or reading
Yard: yard work (clearing, cutting, raking, gardening)
Car: QUIET MOMENTS ALL ALONE to think and hear the voice of God. (Doesn't happen much)
Town: On Saturday's when Marc is working, the kids and I love to play "tourist" and visit ships on the North Conway strip plus visit yard sales and thrift shops. When we get home we line all our "treasures" up to show Daddy when he gets home. :)
2) ICE CREAM
3) Carpentry - I would love to have the knowledge to build the many ideas that pop into my head. I have the desire, but none of the skill. :)

I know what you are saying Sonja. I am afraid I have not been very faithful in my devotions even though I have looked through my journal and read I feel I didn't meditate like I did during the study. I need the accountability and yet are we not always accountable to God?
Now to lighten up the moment....these were fun questions...
Inside my house I love to rearrange the furniture!
In the yard planting flowers. I just love to get my hands in the dirt. (I don't like weeding)
In my car...well, I talk! I like to talk to God and I talk to myself. I sort out my thoughts.
In town....I love to watch people.
(When I was young my dad would take us to town on a Friday night and he'd say lets watch the funny people....of course he talked to people and we watched!) If I am walking in our little town I like to listen to sounds especially children playing and mowers.
I am always ready for a wonderful
slice of pie. I would at one time choose blackberry but now it has to be peach, cherry or rhubarb with ice cream of course! My mom made the very best coconut cream....no one can match it.
Skill...Carpentry....right now I wish I had that skill. Just think of the money you could save and all the accomplishments you would have!
Looking forward to the new study.
1. house: I just love being in and around our home (for the most part). my favorite things to do here are thinking of ways to organize and makes things run more efficiently here, decorating our little mantle shelf, and cooking/baking
yard: in the summer, sit and swing on our porch swing and if it involves talking with Nate or any company even better, add sipping iced tea or lemonade, wonderful. in the winter, I LOVE sled riding and being out and in the snow.
car: drive to see our families
town: go browsing and wishing at Eddie Bauer
2. soft serve ice cream - so yummy! put cookie dough or peanut butter cups in the ice cream even better!
3. carpentry - to be able to just go and build whatever I want would be fabulous OR auto repair - to just be able to know what all of the funny sounds our car makes and know how to fix them or know that we need not worry about them would be equally wonderful.
